ZeroFi deposit minimum: what 0.01 XMR means for costs

ZeroFi is a Monero-to-Ethereum bridge whose current deposit screen sets a 0.01 XMR minimum; that floor determines which transfers qualify, not their total cost. The zerofi deposit flow also shows Ethereum Sepolia as the destination and says deposits are credited after 10 confirmations.

A minimum is an entry threshold, not a charge. A transfer at the threshold can face the same fixed transaction costs as a larger transfer, so those costs take a bigger share of the smaller deposit.

What does the ZeroFi deposit minimum cover?

The 0.01 XMR figure is the smallest deposit the screen currently accepts. It does not tell users how much zXMR they will receive after fees, nor does it confirm a fee rate.

For a bridge deposit, separate the amount sent from the costs around it. The sender may pay a Monero network fee; the bridge may apply its own fee; and later use or movement of zXMR on Ethereum can require gas in the network’s native token. These costs can change independently.

How do minimums change the cost per deposit?

Fixed costs matter most on small transfers because they consume a larger fraction of the amount sent. If a cost is charged as a percentage, its share stays broadly proportional, while a fixed charge weighs more heavily near the minimum.

  • At the minimum: any fixed charge takes the largest percentage of the deposit.
  • Above the minimum: the same fixed charge takes a smaller percentage, though more funds are committed to the transfer.
  • Across repeated deposits: each transfer may trigger its own network cost, so splitting an amount can cost more than sending it once.

That makes a minimum useful for screening out dust-sized transfers, but it does not make a deposit economical by itself. Compare the quoted amount received with the amount sent, and include any later Ethereum gas needed for the intended use.

What should users check before sending XMR?

Enter the intended amount and read the live fee and receive fields before sending. The current screen’s fee field did not show a numeric amount in the view checked for this report, so the actual cost cannot be stated here.

Check the destination network and address, confirm the minimum still applies, and leave room for the sender’s network fee. The screen currently identifies Sepolia, so users should confirm the network they need before transferring funds; mainnet availability and a numeric bridge fee remain unconfirmed in that view.
