How to Confirm a Cross-Chain Treasury Transfer

A cross-chain treasury transfer is confirmed when the source debit, bridge settlement and destination credit all match the approved transfer. A submitted transaction or a “complete” label in a bridge interface alone does not show that the intended amount reached the intended wallet.

What records confirm the transfer?

The source-chain transaction receipt records whether the treasury wallet sent the funds and which address received them. The bridge’s route record shows whether the transfer was processed, while the destination-chain transaction and wallet balance show whether funds arrived.

For the route mechanics and handoffs involved, see this guide to moving treasury funds through a super bridge. Reconcile those records against the approved amount, token and destination address; a matching transaction hash is useful, but it does not by itself prove the destination credit is correct.

How should finance teams reconcile each leg?

Record the source transaction hash, sending wallet, asset, amount, destination chain and recipient address before execution. After settlement, compare the destination transaction and received amount with that approval, accounting for any route fee or token conversion shown in the route record.

  • Match the source debit to the approved amount and asset.
  • Match the recipient address and destination network to the transfer instruction.
  • Check the bridge record for a settled or completed state.
  • Match the destination credit, then record both transaction hashes and the reconciliation result.

If the route converts tokens or deducts a fee, compare the net destination credit with the route’s stated terms rather than expecting the gross source amount to arrive unchanged. Keep the approval, receipts and route record together so another reviewer can trace the transfer end to end.

When is a transfer safe to mark complete?

Mark it complete after the destination transaction is recorded and the receiving wallet shows the expected asset and reconciled amount. The accounting entry should identify the destination chain and reference the evidence used, not just the bridge interface status.

If the source debit appears but no destination credit is visible, leave the transfer unreconciled and investigate the route status and destination transaction record. The next step is to resolve that gap with the route’s records before closing the ledger entry; whether a specific transfer has settled remains unconfirmed until its destination evidence matches the approval.
